Kazuya Amanai, the guy with the red guitar and a throng of dedicated fans plays outside Kashiwa Station’s east exit some evenings, belting out Japanese and English covers and original balads. He’s playing at Kashiwa JUDGE this week, Thursday May 28th, and Saturday May 31st. Go see!

Streetbreakers, the collaboration between the local Chamber of Commerce and Kashiwa City’s youth community, wants you to know that Kashiwa is not merely a bedroom community of Tokyo. There is a lot going on here in the city, including performance art, dance and pop, classical and jazz music.
